Part of the fun in buying and selling items on eBay is learning what the popular items are in various categories. As a seller, I see that as part of the treasure hunt, and I enjoy learning about all of the different items I find as I go along. I've decided to try to bring more value to this site by getting more specific about what sells well on eBay (and some other sites). My hope is that the write ups I do will be not only be informative for potential sellers looking to learn about the market, but also for collectors who might be having a hard time finding some particular item. There are still a lot of people on the Internet who don't realize how much "stuff" is sold on eBay on a daily basis.
eBay has been making a major push to make itself more user friendly for buyers and to ensure that buyers have a pleasant shopping experience. There has been a big push toward emphasizing sellers with the best selling records who deliver the best quality products and services. I would guess that this has really ticked off some people who may have been giving sub-par service to customers, but they will have to adjust to higher standards if they want to survive in the new marketplace. A better base of sellers with happier customers can only improve the entire site.
