Vintage Ralph Lauren

One of the items that I have sold a lot of is vintage clothing.  A popular seller that I will almost always grab if I find it is vintage Ralph Lauren clothing.  For a while, vintage clothing was my main focus because for some reason, I was having a lot of luck finding it.  Some brands sell better than others and most Ralph Lauren products have always done better than average.

Because this is such a wide product line, you never know what you will find.  I discovered that the brand sells well by accident after I visited a moving sale that was being held on a Thursday.  That is an odd time for a sale to be held and there were not all that many people there.  In one of the closets I found several Ralph Lauren polo shirts that still had their tags attached.  I asked the lady selling them about them and she said that I could have them for three dollars each because they were old and her husband just had never worn them.  I believe they were from the early nineties and there was no way I was passing on three bucks each for designer name shirts that still had their tags!

I figured that the shirts would sell, but I didn't expect the flurry of bids that came in literally over night.  I awoke in the morning to find that every one of the shirts I had started around five dollars had been bid up to at least fifteen dollars.  I don't remember the exact numbers they sold for, but they did well.  You don't find deals like that very often which is why it is much simpler for the people who want items like vintage polo shirts or Ralph Lauren jackets, hats or just about anything, to simply look online at sites like eBay.

Although vintage Ralph Lauren polo shirts usually do well, they are not the best or most popular of the vintage items in the clothing line.  Vintage Ralph Lauren belts, sweaters, jackets, hats and even boots do exceptionally well.  They are even harder to find in the "real world", so when they do appear on sale, they tend to get scooped up quite quickly.

One of the newer Ralph Lauren clothing lines that is very popular is the Rugby Collection.  I was looking for older videos, but came across this one for the 2009 Rugby Ralph Lauren Collection.  I thought some Ralph fans might like it even though it is anything by vintage.
